Bitcoin, a whale moves more than 1 billion BTC dollars

According to what he says Whale Alerta cryptographic whale ha moved 94.504 bitcoin (of the value of over 1 billion dollars, at the current exchange rate), paying 700 commission dollars to the network. This is more than 0,5% of all BTC stock in circulation.

Still according to the reconstructions made by the Whale Alert monitor, the operation dates back to September 6 and concerns displacements between 15 addresses: in particular, more than half of the bitcoins (53.000 BTC) came from a single address.

Again, Whale Alert reported that the transaction was carried out by unknown wallets that do not belong to any cryptocurrency exchange, and that no one claimed ownership of the transaction (therefore, all the information on the net is only speculation): what is instead sure that this shift has helped to increase the price of Bitcoin to 10.790 dollars from 10.569 dollars in a few hours.

The Token Analyst team has tracked down some of the 94.500 bitcoins at Huobi Global. However, the company spokesman said his team will examine the validity of the complaint, as per the statement provided in CoinDesk.

A theory yet to be verified suggests that the funds could be linked to the Bakkt institutional trading platform, which has already begun to accept customer deposits from Friday. Max Kaiser, head of the venture capital fund Heisenberg Capital, agrees with the view that institutional investors may be involved in a transaction of this magnitude, given that it is very difficult for more than 1 billion BTC dollars to be moved by a single, though wealthy, private trader.

Another thing is certain: the secret movements of crypto-whale "whales" are becoming increasingly common these days. Last month, a move of other 77.000 BTCs (worth 780 million dollars) had been transferred to three unknown wallets.
