Coinbase is considering giving some new cryptocurrencies the possibility of joining its exchange system. The widespread list thus becomes a kind of official pre-announcement, with the startup saying that it is "exploring" this opportunity, and that it is working with local banks and regulatory authorities to turn it into reality.

The list does not contain big surprises. It is in fact: Cardano (ADA), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Stellar Lumens (XLM), Zcash (ZEC), 0x (ZRX).

We remember that Coinbase (see the guide) it is one of the most popular exchange companies in the world, and has a non-marginal influence in directing attention and enthusiasm within the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem. It follows that the above announcement will certainly bring some greater interest on these particular assets.

We also point out how last month the site had the opportunity to announce that it was adding Ethereum Classic to its platform. In reality, however, a post published a few days ago noted that - while specifying that that cryptocurrency asset is relatively simple to insert in its platform - it will still take some time, however, to allow regulatory work to run its course.
