Watford today announced a new multi-year partnership with Stake.com, the leading cryptocurrency and sports betting platform in the world. Starting in 2021/22, the club's record deal will see Stake become the main sponsor of the club's jersey upon its return to the Premier League.
The multi-year deal, paid for in cryptocurrency, unites one of the fastest growing cryptocurrency brands with a Premier League challenger looking to make his mark after promoting the league last season.
As Stake continues to expand globally, the partnership with Watford FC will leverage the global appeal of the Premier League to promote brand awareness around the world, particularly in the UK as a launch of the Stake.co.uk brand.
To commemorate the start of the partnership, Stake will organize crypto-themed initiatives, including a 10 million Dogecoin giveaway on its international platform. On top of that, the UK audience can look forward to many more promotions and giveaways as Stake launches its own UK website, Stake.co.uk.
Founded in 2017, Stake.com is one of the leaders in its industry, with over 30 billion transactions per year representing over 5% of Bitcoin transactions worldwide. The partnership with Watford FC marks an expansion of Stake's sports sponsorship portfolio, following the unveiling of the brand as the official UFC betting partner in Latin America and Asia in March.
