The partnership "makes Coinbase the exclusive partner of the cryptocurrency platform of NBA, Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball," the details of the announcement, adding:

"The deal, which marks the first partnership with a cryptocurrency platform for any league, will consist of Coinbase's unique content, innovations, activations and experiences to educate fans about the growing advances that are taking place in the crypto economy."

The NBA G League, or G League, is the official minor league basketball organization of the National Basketball Association. The NBA 2K League is a joint venture between the NBA and video game publisher Take-Two Interactive.

USA Basketball is a non-profit organization and the national governing body for men's and women's basketball in the United States. He represents the country in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the men's and women's national basketball teams in the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

"Starting with tonight's installment of the NBA's 75th anniversary season, Coinbase will have a brand presence during nationwide televised matches," adds the announcement. "The company will also become the presenting partner of the WNBA Commissioner's Cup and the exhibition tours of the USA Basketball Men's and Women's National Team, as well as a partner of the NBA G League Ignite."
