Cryptopia is about to reopen - you see the funds in the accounts

Cryptopia, one of our favorite exchanges (see details of Exchange Cryptopia) of altcoin (we also did one guide for cryptopia) has been hacked a few months ago (or scam exit as some have defined it). For several months the website had become inaccessible to users, with a single screen indicating a press release concerning the report to the police for the hacker attack that the carrying would reopen once the investigation was over.

The problem of keeping crypts in the exchanges.

This is a tip that all crypto enthusiasts repeat to newbies, that of taking the crypto, once purchased from the exchanges and keeping them in safe places, possibly offline in a portable hardware which we have private keys and full possession, such as the Ledger Nano or Ledger x

Obviously this requires you to buy devices, configure them and not always have them available because we are used to exchanging crypto on the fly, even from smartphones and therefore we need to always have them available, but as in Cryptopia you know what happens?

Cryptopia blocked accounts

It happens that Cryptopia has had a hacker attack (or so they say) and all the accounts are frozen, with everything we had inside, without the possibility of taking our crypto.

Now the situation seems to have improved because we can log into our account and see the funds, but we cannot withdraw. Maybe someday they will give us a chance to take them? Who knows, maybe yes, maybe not.

Obviously all this would not have happened if we had kept the crypto safe and secure, but some repeat:

But do you think an exchange is hacked? It is easier for me to lose the ledger than the exchange is hacked.
