A new cryptocurrency comes from the co-founder of Uber: a rather interesting project to participate for free.

A new cryptocurrency - eco - comes from the co-founder of Uber

Garrett Camp, the entrepreneur best known for being one of the co-founders of Uber, and founder of the accelerator / venture fund Exp, is launching its own cryptocurrency. called Eco, Camp he said he wanted it to be a global digital currency that could be used as a payment tool worldwide for everyday transactions.

According to what Camp still says, at the beginning there will be one trillion tokens, of which 50% attributed to the first billion users who register. 20% will go to the universities that manage the nodes, 10% will go to consultants, 10% will go to strategic partners and 10% will go to a new Eco Foundation which will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the network. Camp and a small number of Expa affiliated partners will also donate $ 10 million to the Foundation as an initial operating budget.

Still, Camp reported that there won't be any ICO, and therefore how no funds will be collected for the project. But what are the added values that Eco could bring?

First, the currency wants to use only "verified" nodes for network support and for transaction confirmations. This means, in other words, that an anonymous user cannot execute a node and confirm transactions as he could do on the network instead Bitcoin. While this substantially removes 51% of attacks or other fraud, it also means that the project will not be truly decentralized.

Secondly, Eco will have a large number of tokens (one trillion, at least initially) and simple web and mobile apps. This is probably the project's attempt to be more user friendly, breaking down the fact that many non-habitual users are frightened by the high token prices. Likewise, the presence of web and mobile apps will allow wallets to be easily accessible to anyone, regardless of technical skills.

We just have to wait for news!
