Each new life costs $ 1 and the proceeds are collected in favor of the winner. During the game, Dead Minecraft servers spread the cryptocurrency story.

SatoshiQuest: how does it work?

Bitcoins can now be earned by Minecraft players thanks to the new SatoshiQuest server. The developer of the game said that the goal is simple. While signing up to the platform, players will receive a wallet address where they can deposit $ 1 worth of BTC.

With this deposited amount it will be possible to buy a life to join the treasure hunt. Each new life will always cost $ 1 and the proceeds will go to a pool with which the winner will be awarded. The goal is to find hidden Bitcoin before everyone else.

When a player approaches the treasure (within 25% of the total blocks), his position is passed on to all other players. According to the creator of the server, this helps to give everyone a good opportunity and make sure that no one is camping on the site of the spoils.

For now all Bitcoin transactions are completed on-chain. Its creator expressed his willingness to see a server fork that would incorporate Lightning Network transactions.

Bitcoin's success in Mincraft may depend on its exchange rate

Bitcoin's average on-chain transaction fee has fluctuated between $ 0,30 and $ 0,50 for much of 2019. However, historical data shows that every time Bitcoin increases in popularity, its online fees increase drastically.

Just over six months ago, when BTC went up to $ 14.000, its transaction fees went up to $ 6,50. During the December 2017 peak, Bitcoin fees exceeded $ 65. As early as 2015 Bitcoin had been incorporated into Minecraft servers.

However, the fact that the value of transaction fees fluctuated relative to the bitcoin value made it unsustainable for this use. PlayMC was once a popular Minecraft server that rewarded players who completed gaming in satoshi (the smallest Bitcoin unit).

The server closed in 2017, the year of the biggest increase in Bitcoin rates to date. With this awareness in mind, it may be wise to take advantage of the Bitcoin Minecraft server earlier than later. Minecraft servers incorporating various altcoins also spread the history of this cryptocurrency.

Both Dogecoin (DOGE) and DigiByte (DGB) servers have been used in previous years. Few applications have managed to gain popularity or resist the ever-changing world of cryptocurrencies. Will SatoshiQuest manage to sustain a possible new increase in the price of bitcoin?
